Does anyone know how to fix this? I tried to deinstall everything from realtek and install the Asus drivers new but that doesn't work and with every restart it asks me to reinstall the Realtek driver.

Hi,one little question: Where can I find the settings file (in general, where it does been written/saved)?Sometimes I re-install my driver so I want to export and import my settings without having to manually change the settings everytime.Copy pasting the settings file should be enough, but where to find that file (which path)?The audio console does not show anything about this.Hope you can help.Thanks.
Please help me to solve my problem. My system is Asus X542UF and os is windows 10 64bit. After installing Realtek drivers from Asus site, sound quality of my headphones are very low quality. I can not hear any bass sound. If I increase the volume, then the sounds become very unclear. Even I uninstall or go back to windows hd audio, nothing works. But sometimes when I plugged in headphones and boot windows sound quality is super. But if I once unplugged them they again sounda badly. I am tired of reinstalling realtek drivers.
You should see these two entries. High Definition Audio Device is the driver from Microsoft and the other one, as the name already tells, is from Realtek. Choose High Definition Audio Device and click on Next.
If you have any trouble with the Microsoft driver, then you can easily switch back to the Realtek driver by repeating the first 3 steps until you reach the following dialog and by selecting Roll Back Driver.
It isn't possible to make Soundpad work with the Realtek audio drivers without drawbacks. We could change the installer again, but then Soundpad would be affected by the DSP offloading of Skype and Lync and won't work in these applications.
The only way to make Soundpad work is to install drivers from Microsoft instead of the pre-installed Realtek ones. If you don't have specific requirements, that are only fulfilled by the Realtek drivers, then this solution should work without disadvantages.
Older boards like Rampage II or Maximus III use older not faulty drivers. Newer motherboards like Rampage VI Extreme or Maximus VIII Ranger should not be affected, as they use newer ASUS audio drivers, which supposedly use the fixed driver components from Realtek.
The ASUS drivers contain an old version of the component Nahimic, which cannot be loaded by the Windows Audio Service, and this leads to a well-defined fallback behavior where all effects of the microphone are turned off, including Soundpad.
If you want to have SupremeFX working as well, then you might download the Realtek drivers, extract them, find the file NAHIMICAPOlfx.dll and replace the buggy one in C:\Windows\System32. The file in System32 will be locked by the Windows Audio Service, so you can restart your computer and then try to replace it or shutdown the Windows Audio Service before replacing the file.
Had Asus audio drivers which came with all their garbage (to me at least) sound fx stuff, i have removed through the built in Uninstall programs but when i double click the Audio icon ion taskbar up pops the Republic of Gamers box which i don't want
click on "Clean and restart" to uninstall the audio drivers and reboot. seems OP has Realtek audio driver 6.0.1.8273 in his screenshot, which is already a few years old; there are already new Realtek audio drivers in the high 8500s or well in the 8600s

"A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer." you can continue (at your own risk), however the driver may be overwritten again if the computer has is its own driver updater.
I did "this procedure" - uninstalled Sound,video and game controllers, but it didn't change anything. Then I uninstalled display driver for Intel Graphics 530 and it worked ! with Microsoft Basic Display Driver. So I updated MMS, restarted it...to find that the ONLY display resolution is 1280x720 !!...well...I reinstalled Intel Display driver...and still cannot open MMS. it looks like Display driver is a problem... :((

But Movie Studio doesn't include the need for which graphics driver is needed nor why we have three separate Intel graphics chip specs stated between both specs pages. (Intel 6th generation Core i-series or higher implies an HD530 chip, not an HD520)
